We always recommend that if at all possible clients have a valid passport while cruising, however if sailing on a Disney Cruise to either the Bahamas or the Caribbean, a passport is not a requirement. Adult cruisers must have at least a valid government issued photo ID such as a drivers license and a government issued / certified copy of their birth certificate with raised seal. Children under 16 must present a government issued / certified copy of a birth certificate with a raised seal. The reason we recommend a valid passport is for medical emergencies. In the event someone in your party has a medical emergency and the need arises to fly home, a valid passport would be needed for air travel.
For all European and Canadian cruises, a valid passport is always required.
