Agreements to enable the long-awaited opening of the $3.5 billion Baha Mar mega-resort continue to fall into place.
A Hyatt Hotels Corporation affiliate will manage the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, the Baha Mar Convention Center and several restaurants, bars and lounges at the Baha Mar property under a management agreement with CTF BM Operations Ltd., said Hyatt officials in a statement.
Baha Mar will open in a “phased” manner beginning April 21 under a management agreement reached between Hyatt and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises (CTFE), the mega-resort’s owners. The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, which will be the resort’s anchor property, will offer 1,800 guestrooms, including 227 suites with high-end amenities.
Hyatt will operate the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar’s two main towers—one connected to the resort’s 100,000 square-foot casino and another adjacent to the convention center—which will offer more than 85,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. The hotel will also offer three restaurants including a 200-seat main restaurant, a pool bar and grill and a jazz-themed lounge.

The Baha Mar property will also include a 300-room SLS Baha Mar hotel slated to open in the third quarter of 2017 and a 240-room Rosewood property that will launch in the spring of 2018.
